Flooring

Flooring is included in every build. Here's what we fit as standard and the options available.

Every Green Rooms build includes fitted flooring and skirting boards as standard. You won't need to arrange or source this separately.

Laminate Flooring

Included as standard

High-quality laminate flooring is fitted as standard on all builds. Available in a range of wood-effect finishes — light oak, grey oak, dark walnut and more. Hard-wearing, easy to clean and appropriate for year-round garden room use.

Best for: Offices, garden rooms, studios — any dry indoor use

Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT)

Available on request

An upgrade on standard laminate — LVT is waterproof, softer underfoot, more realistic in look and texture, and handles minor moisture better. Good choice for yoga studios, gyms or any space where you'd prefer a warmer feel underfoot.

Best for: Gyms, yoga studios, any space where warmth underfoot matters

Engineered Wood

Available on request

A real wood veneer over a stable ply core — the look and feel of solid timber without the instability that comes with temperature and humidity changes. More expensive than laminate but a premium finish for high-spec builds.

Best for: High-spec bespoke builds, music studios, premium offices

Rubber Flooring

Available on request

Commercial-grade rubber matting for gyms and fitness rooms. Protects subfloor from impact, provides grip, dampens noise. Can be fitted as a full-floor installation or as a partial overlay over laminate.

Best for: Garden gyms, golf simulator rooms
Rubber gym flooring in a garden room
Laminate flooring in a garden room with storage
Flooring in an extended height garden gym

Underfloor Preparation

All our builds use SIPs for the floor panel as well as the walls and roof — this gives a rigid, properly insulated subfloor that prevents cold bridging and dampness from below. Flooring is fitted on top of this once the interior is plastered and dried out, ensuring a flat, stable surface.
