1. About us

These terms apply to all contracts between The Green Rooms ("we", "us", "our") and our customers for the design, supply and installation of garden rooms and related structures. By accepting a quote or placing an order with us, you agree to these terms.

2. Quotes and orders

All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. A contract is formed when you sign our order form and pay the deposit. Prices are inclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.

We reserve the right to adjust quoted prices if the site survey reveals conditions materially different from those described at the time of quoting (for example, access restrictions or ground conditions requiring additional foundation work).

3. Payment

Payment is staged as follows unless otherwise agreed in writing:

• Deposit: payable on signing the order — secures your build slot and materials
• Stage payment: due prior to delivery of materials to site
• Final payment: due on practical completion

All payments must be made by bank transfer. We do not accept card payments for stage payments. If payment is not received on time, we reserve the right to suspend work until the outstanding amount is cleared.

4. Planning permission and building regulations

It is the customer's responsibility to obtain any planning permission or building regulations approval required for their garden room. We can advise on whether your project is likely to fall within permitted development rights, but this does not constitute formal planning advice. We strongly recommend confirming with your local planning authority before work begins.

5. Site access and preparation

You are responsible for ensuring safe access to the site for our team and any delivery vehicles. The site must be cleared of any obstructions prior to our start date. If we arrive on site and cannot proceed due to access or site condition issues outside our control, a revisit charge may apply.

6. Build timescales

We will agree a provisional build slot with you at the time of order. Build timescales are estimates and may be affected by weather, material lead times or factors outside our control. We will keep you informed of any significant delays. Time is not of the essence unless expressly agreed in writing.

7. Guarantee

We provide a 10-year structural guarantee on all our garden room builds. This covers defects in materials and workmanship but does not cover fair wear and tear, damage caused by misuse or third-party modifications, or damage resulting from failure to carry out recommended maintenance. Our guarantee is transferable to a new owner if you sell the property.

8. Cancellations

If you wish to cancel your order, please notify us in writing as soon as possible. Cancellations made more than 14 days before the agreed start date will be subject to a cancellation charge equivalent to any costs already incurred (materials ordered, surveys carried out). Cancellations made within 14 days of the start date will forfeit the deposit in full.

9. Liability

Our liability to you for any claim arising from this contract is limited to the total contract value. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Disputes

If you have a complaint, please contact us at hello@thegreenrooms.com in the first instance. We will aim to resolve all disputes fairly and promptly. These terms are governed by English law.
