This bespoke garden music studio was designed around the client's specific acoustic requirements. The brief was for a space that could be used for recording and practice without sound leaking into the neighbouring properties — achieved through a combination of our standard SIPs construction and a specialist acoustic fit-out.
Internally, the walls are lined with acoustic absorption panels alternating with diffuser panels, tuned to the mid and high frequency range. The floor is floated on acoustic isolation mounts to reduce impact noise transmission. Electrically, the room has a dedicated circuit for studio equipment, with all power outlets on filtered circuits to eliminate interference. The external appearance is a standard cedar-clad garden room — the acoustic treatment is entirely on the inside.
