This project combined a cedar-clad garden room with a full-width composite decking platform and an integrated lean-to storage shed running along the side elevation. The result is a single structure that provides living space, outdoor entertaining space, and practical storage — all tied together with a consistent design language.
The garden room itself is clad in Western Red Cedar with a full-width front canopy and aluminium bifold doors opening directly onto the decking. The decking is laid in Millboard composite in burnt cedar — a material that requires no maintenance and never needs oiling or staining. The lean-to shed sits flush against the side wall, sharing the same roof line, and is accessed via a flush-fit timber door. From the garden, the whole structure reads as one cohesive build.
